Eidur Gudjohnsen has passed his medical tests and should be confirmed as a
West Ham United player within the next 48 hours. The 32-year-old former
Barcelona and Chelsea player spent yesterday at Holly House undergoing
stringent medical tests, which he is understood to have come through with no
problems. With personal terms having already been agreed, Gudjohnsen should
be confirmed as Sam Allardyce's third capture of the summer before the
beginning of next week, following closely behind Abdoulaye Faye and Kevin
Nolan. All three players have worked previously with new Hammers boss Sam
Allardyce.
