The Ticket Office is pleased to announce that, at close of business Thursday
12th July, a record number of over 25,300 season ticket applications had
been accepted.
The club can confirm that due to high sales figures we have now sold out of
all price band 1 and band 4 season tickets. The only seats remaining within
any Lower Tier is an extremely limited number of single scattered seats
located within the East Stand Lower.
The Club is therefore only left with season tickets available within band 2
in either the wing blocks of the Dr Martens Upper or East Stand Upper
alternatively price band 3 in either the corner blocks of the Dr Martens
Upper or the Bobby Moore Upper Tier.
For the first time in the club's history the club will be likely to cap the
number of season ticket sales, and this may come into effect as early as
Monday 16th July thus ensuring a certain number of seats are available to
Academy Members on a match by match basis, beginning with the opening match
of the season against Manchester City which is available from 8.00am Tuesday
17th July either online at www.eticketing.co.uk/whufc or via Option 1 on
0870 112 2700.
Once we reach our maximum number of season tickets a waiting list will be
established for supporters unable to purchase a season ticket this year and
wishing to express an interest in the 2008-09 and subsequent seasons.

Sheff Utd lose High Court appeal - BBC
Sheffield United have been refused leave to appeal against the Premier
League arbitration panel's decision over the Carlos Tevez affair. The
arbitration panel had upheld the decision not to dock West Ham points over
the signing of Carlos Tevez. And the High Court on Friday ruled that there
had been no error in law with the panel's decision. West Ham were fined
£5.5m for their handling of Tevez's move and that of his fellow Argentine
Javier Mascherano. The Hammers were found guilty on 27 April of acting
improperly and withholding vital documentation over the duo's ownership.
When Tevez and Mascherano were registered as players, West Ham failed to
disclose that they had entered into an agreement with third-party companies.
Sheffield United launched their first appeal after they went down on the
last day of the season and West Ham stayed up. The three-man arbitration
panel, headed by retired High Court judge Sir Philip Otton, did not have the
power to change West Ham's punishment but could have ordered a new
independent commission to judge the case.
The Blades went into Friday's hearing hoping to prove that the arbitration
panel made an "error in law" by not ordering a new disciplinary commission
to deal with the affair. And while chairman Kevin McCabe has accepted the
club will not be reinstated to the Premier League he is looking for up to
£50m in compensation. "I think anyone who looks at it and says one club has
been wronged then the only recourse to make that wrong right is financial,"
he said prior to Friday's decision. "If you say that the Championship
play-off game is worth £60m and Sheffield United's attendance last year was
31,000, with full hospitality boxes and restaurants and broadcasting income,
you would say compensation is around £50m."

fee which could rise to £3.25m. The England international left-back has

Fulham have signed Paul Konchesky on a four-year contract from West Ham
United. The full-back has headed across the capital for an undisclosed fee
after spending two years at Upton Park. He made 70 appearances during his
time with The Hammers and was recently the subject of a failed bid from
Birmingham City. Blues opted against upping their offer and Konchesky was
happy to link up with Lawrie Sanchez's side instead. "When I knew that
Fulham were interested in me I was really pleased," Konchesky told the
club's official website. "I then met with Lawrie and talked about his plans
for the future here and I was really impressed with what he had to say; so
it wasn't a difficult decision to make the switch across London. "Obviously
the club has made a few signings this window, so it's a case of us all
settling in and getting on with training, and I'm really looking forward to
it." Konchesky is Sanchez's fourth signing, following the additions of
Northern Ireland trio Aaron Hughes, Steven Davis and Chris Baird, and the
Fulham boss is happy with his new recruit. Sanchez said: "I am delighted

Full-back Paul Konchesky has signed a four-year deal with Fulham following a
£2million switch. The former Charlton defender - who signed for the Hammers
two years ago upon promotion - has made the move from East to West in a deal
that could ultimately be worth up to £3million, with clauses/appearances.
Konchesky was allowed to leave after it was made clear that he did not
figure in Alan Curbishley's long-term plans. His departure leaves the
Hammers with just one recognised left-back - George McCartney - in the
entire squad; Wigan's Leighton Baines and Reading's Nickey Shorey still top
of the list of replacements.
Like several members of the 05/06 squad, Konchesky enjoyed an excellent
season, which culminated with a goal in the FA Cup Final at Cardiff. But
last season his form hit rock bottom, and he was left kicking his heels on
the sidelines for the last few months of the campaign.

Blades fail in High Court bid - The Sun

SHEFFIELD UNITED have failed in their High Court bid to force new Premier
League disciplinary action against West Ham over the Carlos Tevez affair. A
private hearing today heard the Blades' case but they were denied permission
to appeal a Premier League arbitration panel's decision to dismiss their bid
for fresh action. United may now pursue compensation for their relegation. A
statement read outside the court by the club's solicitor Paul Stothard said:
"Sheffield United have not been granted leave to appeal aspects of the
arbitration panel's decision earlier this month. "This application was made
on very limited grounds and it has also been denied on very limited grounds.
"Sheffield United are not precluded from taking further action whether
against the Premier League or West Ham. "I think you can be fairly
confident that things won't rest there." "If we cannot get reinstated then
compensation would be top of the agenda because there are very significant
consequences financially for being relegated from the Premier League
wrongfully, as we believe we have been."

Sheffield United lose again in Tevez affair - Times Online and Agencies
Sheffield United failed today in their High Court bid to challenge the
Premier League's refusal to punish West Ham with a points deduction over the
Carlos Tevez affair.
A Commercial Court judge in London held there were no grounds for granting
Sheffield United - backed by Fulham - permission to appeal against an
arbitration panel's ruling which saved West Ham United from likely
relegation at the Yorkshire club expense.
United opted to pursue High Court action after an arbitration panel rejected
their claim against the Premier League for failing to dock West Ham points
over the transfers of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. The top flight's
governing body had instead levied a £5.5million fine on the London club in
April.
Stothard insisted United would continue to press for new action, but
admitted compensation may now become the focus of their challenge, rather
than reinstatement to the Premier League.
"We now have to go and think about what we can do. As Kevin [McCabe,
chairman] said recently we have a long agenda of things we can do with
regard to this, we are still on the first page," he said.
"I think you can be fairly confident that things won't rest there."
Stothard added: "If we cannot get reinstated then compensation would be top

Joorabchian denies 'any wrongdoing' - TeamTalk
Carlos Tevez's advisor Kia Joorabchian has denied "any wrongdoing" after a
Brazilian court reportedly issued an international arrest warrant. The
warrant is said to relate to an investigation at Brazilian club Corinthians,
of which Joorabchian's company MSI is a major investor. The reports stated
Interpol have been called in to carry out the arrest while Judge Fausto
Martin de Sanctis has ordered the club's assets to be frozen and will also
investigate international transfers conducted by the club. Joorabchian's
company MSI are a major investor in the club and he is currently involved in
negotiations for the transfer of Tevez from West Ham to Manchester United.
But Joorabchian insists all his financial dealings were cleared by the
Brazilian Central Bank. In a statement, he said: "The investigation in
Brazil has been rumbling on for some considerable time and apparently
involves numerous individuals including the president, club officials and
partners of Corinthians Football Club. "I deny any wrongdoing whatsoever. I
have co-operated fully with the authorities in Brazil and have previously
offered to speak to them directly, an offer that they have not taken up.
"The investigation has been provoked by the desire of a small group of
individuals in Brazil to gain control over Corinthians Football Club. All
payments made to Corinthians by MSI were cleared through and approved by the
Brazilian Central Bank. "My Brazilian lawyers are instructed urgently to
prevent me being personally involved any longer in this dispute. I am
advised, and believe this matter will be resolved very shortly."
The Brazilian authorities have also issued an arrest warrant for Russian
billionaire Boris Berezovsky, who is living in exile in London. Berezovsky
has previously denied any business association with Joorabchian - and he
denies having "any dealings connected to Carlos Tevez" or any involvement in
money-laundering.
But Berezovsky is adamant the warrant is "an extension of the Kremlin's
politicised campaign against him".
A statement from Berezovsky read: "At this time, neither I nor my lawyers
have had any contact with the Brazilian authorities with regard to the
allegations that an arrest warrant has been issued against me. "Given the
extensive comment in the Russian media and the farce of a 'trial in
absentia' in the Russian courts, I have no doubt that the Brazilian story is
an extension of the Kremlin's politicised campaign against me. I am not
involved in money-laundering, nor have I been involved in any dealings
connected to Carlos Tevez. "I am an Arsenal fan."
Argentina striker Tevez is set to be confirmed as Sir Alex Ferguson's latest
summer signing next week after playing in Sunday's Copa America final
against Brazil.

clear out when Fulham beat Birmingham City to his signature for an
undisclosed fee believed to be around £2m. Signed from Curbishley's Charlton
by Alan Pardew in July 05, the 26 year old Barking born Konchesky quickly
become a firm fans favorite and a string of impressive, solid performances
earned Konch an England call up in which he featured in the 2nd half against
Argentina. However on his return from England duty his form took a nosedive
from which he never never really recovered. His good performance in the FA
cup final where he scored 1 of his 2 West Ham goals will stand out as the
high point of Konchs career with the team he supports. When Curbishley
replaced Pardew last December it was soon clear that he man who sold him to
the Hammers didn't rate him as a left back and he played only 6 more times

Fulham's manager Lawrie Sanchez has made the West Ham full-back Paul

The agent of in-limbo West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez has been charged
with money-laundering in Brazil, according to reports from South America.
Kia Joorabchian, who is reportedly in negotiations with Manchester United
over securing a move for the Argentinean to Old Trafford this summer, is the
subject of an arrest order handed out by a senior judge. No further details
of the charges are available although if the order is served on Joorabchian,
the owner of Media Sports Investments (MSI), he could be forced to return to
South America to defend himself in court. Joorabchian's London-based agency,
which claims to own the rights to Tevez, holds a controlling stake in
Brazilian football club Corinthians – the 23-year-old's former employers. He
joined the Hammers last August in a somewhat secretive joint deal with
fellow Argentina international Javier Mascherano, who has since moved to
Premiership rivals Liverpool. It is not clear if the money-laundering
charges relate to Joorabchian's ownership of Corinthians, or his association
with Tevez, although the issue could have some effect on the striker's move
to United. That deal is still in limbo this week after it was revealed West
Ham could face further disciplinary proceedings if any transfer fee from Sir
Alex Ferguson's side does not go directly to the east London club. The
Hammers were fined a record £5.5 million by the Premier League towards the
end of last season for errors in the registration and paperwork surrounding

indicating interest in Gudjohnsen, with the Magpies having an edge in the
chase, courtesy of their new coach, Sam Allardyce, who is keen on re-uniting
with Gudjohnsen after the pair parted ways in Bolton, where Big Sam featured
the Iceland striker very prominently. Arnor Gudjohnsen, the agent and father
of Eidur, wants his son to remain at Barca next season but there seems to be
very little prospects of Eidur featuring regularly for the Blaugrana as the
forwad line seems filled up with the trio of Samuel Eto'o, Theirry Henry and

Charlton manager Alan Pardew admits he is still keen on a move for West
Ham's Hayden Mullins. The midfielder was reported to have been offered as a

Reds confident on Tevez
Sir Alex Ferguson seemed confident that his attempt to bring West Ham
striker Carlos Tevez to Old Trafford are edging ever closer. The United boss
admitted on Monday that he had expected the transfer to be completed last
weekend. But conflicting reports in the past few days have suggested that
the deal for the 23-year-old Argentina international has been on the brink
of completion or, elsewhere, on the brink of collapse. However, Sir Alex has
faith that a conlusion will soon be reached. "I think we have got the player
we think he is our player and are very hopeful," he told Sky Sports News
on Thursday evening.
"The Premier League seem to be holding back, I think they probably want to
make sure everything is transparent. We want that to be the case we don't
want a bad taste surrounding the transfer, we want it done cleanly."
The Reds boss admired Tevez from afar and up close last season, the striker
overcame a period of acclimatisation in the Premier League to become they
key figure in West Ham's resurgence in form and their eventually successful
battle against relegation. Tevez's match-winning goal against United on the
final day of the season guaranteed West Ham's survival, and his sublime
finish brought first-hand confirmation for Sir Alex that he could perform on
the Old Trafford stage. "I think his form kept West Ham up," added Sir Alex.
"And as far as our club are concerned, everyone was excited when we thought
we could get him. He's exciting, his form is fantastic and at 23 he can get

Time to move on for Tevez - Kia - TeamTalk
Manchester United-bound Carlos Tevez believes he has served his time at West
Ham, according to the striker's advisor Kia Joorabchian. The Argentina
striker is set to be confirmed as Sir Alex Ferguson's latest summer signing
next week after playing in Sunday's Copa America final against Brazil.
Joorabchian, who owns the player's economic rights, insists West Ham have a
special place in Tevez's heart but that he has no qualms about moving on.
"Carlos is a bit sad as, in terms of West Ham, he felt very attached to the
club last season," Joorabchian said on Sky Sports News. "He helped them out
of the relegation battle but he is a sportsman, he doesn't understand the
administrative bits and pieces. "He knows he is not fighting with West Ham
or demanding anything. He loved his time there and it was mutually agreed he
would be there for a year and he has served his year. "He feels confident
now he is a Man United player."
Personal terms have already been agreed and Tevez is expected to undergo a
medical, with Ferguson confident the protracted saga is coming to a close.
Ferguson said on Thursday night: "I think we have got the player - we think
he is our player and are very hopeful. "Everyone was excited when we thought
we could get Tevez. He's exciting, his form is fantastic and at 23 he can
get better."
United have agreed an initial loan deal for Tevez with the option of a
permanent transfer, which could be worth over £30million. They had hoped to
push the deal through last week but it stalled after the Premier League
insisted West Ham, who hold Tevez's registration, must receive the majority
of the fee. That is because West Ham were allowed to keep playing Tevez last
season after assuring the Premier League all third-party clauses in the
player's contract had been severed. But Joorabchian is confident he is on
sound legal footing to push the transfer through. He released a statement
indicating all three parties involved in the transfer - understood to mean
Manchester United, West Ham and his own company MSI - were confident "the
administrative issues will be settled in the next few days."
Joorabchian added: "We don't see any problems. I spoke to United tonight and
they are confident they will have him registered next week. "Carlos will
come on Tuesday, have a medical on Wednesday at United and hopefully we will
have administrative issues sorted next week. "Personal terms between Carlos
and United have been agreed in full. He feels confident now he is a
Manchester United player." But the deal must still be approved by the
Premier League - and their position has not changed. The league last night
warned Tevez's registration will not be transferred to Manchester United
unless they are satisfied West Ham conducted the deal. A spokesman said:
"Any deal for Carlos Tevez has to be done directly with West Ham United.
"They hold the registration and we will not transfer the registration unless

CARLOS Tevez will fly into Britain on Tuesday for a medical at Old Trafford
as his advisers ratchet up the pressure on West Ham to release the player
for a move to Manchester United. It is a tough bargaining position by Kia
Joorabchian on behalf of third-party owners MSI as the Hammers continue to
stall on releasing the player's registration. Joorabchian last night issued
a statement confirming the transfer will go ahead. It read: "On Tuesday
Carlos Tevez will fly to Britain for a medical at Old Trafford as part of
the process of his transfer to Manchester United. "It is our understanding
that all parties involved in the transfer are now satisfied that the
administrative issues will be settled in the next few days. "We will not be
adding further to this statement at this time."
The "parties" referred to are Manchester United, MSI – the company headed by
Joorabchian who claim to own Tevez's economic rights – and West Ham.
But behind the hard-line posturing is a threat by Joorabchian and MSI to sue
West Ham, with the Premier League being dragged into any such action.
MSI are banking on neither the Hammers, nor the Premier League, being
prepared to go to court, especially as MSI claim to have further
documentation, so far unseen by the League, to back up their claim to have
full economic control of the player. Meanwhile the Premier League are set to
come under pressure from their own member clubs to clarify claims that
Joorabchian holds these secret documents – said to be "explosive" – that
will shed new light on the Tevez affair. There is a groundswell of opinion
among clubs that Joorabchian should be asked to divulge paperwork he claims
to hold. And they are also concerned that the ugly saga is staining the
image of English football world-wide. Tevez, currently starring for
Argentina in the Copa America, has told the Hammers he considers himself
free of any contractual obligations to them and will sign for Sir Alex
Ferguson's United, who want him on a two-year loan deal with a view to a
permanent £20million transfer.
Premier League chiefs are trying to find a solution, with who holds Tevez's
registration the key. Clearly, according to the timetable set out by MSI
last night, that solution needs to be found quickly. None of the parties
concerned really want court action to settle the matter – not least the
Premier League who are desperate not to become embroiled in a legal fight.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United will discover today if they have won the right
to a High Court challenge over the Premier League's handling of the affair,
and Joorabchian could even be asked to appear as their star witness. The
Daily Express understands that Joorabchian might be willing to take the
stand, such is his desire to bring all the facts into the open.

FULHAM boss Lawrie Sanchez last night pulled off a transfer coup by stealing
West Ham's Paul Konchesky from under the noses of Birmingham. The England
left-back, who will cost Fulham £2million, had a medical at Craven Cottage
yesterday. He becomes Sanchez's third capture this week following the
arrivals of £6m Diomansy Kamara and Chris Baird. And Fulham are on the brink
of signing Leeds and Northern Ireland striker David Healy. Healy is set to
arrive at Craven Cottage in a deal thought to be in the region of £2million,
pending a medical. The 27-year-old has scored 29 goals in 56 internationals
for Northern Ireland.
