Curb's £45million bait.

Alan Curbishley will be handed a £45million transfer fund if West Ham clinch
premiership survival today.
A Hammers source said if they pull it off you will see a lot of activity in
the summer. The chairman is ready to spend big to take the club where he
wants it curbs and co need to avoid defeat at champions Manchester United
today to be absolutely sure of staying up. They would also beat the drop if
Wigan athletic fail to beat Sheffield United at Bramell lane. And the prize
for boss Curbishley will be the funds to compete at the top end of the
transfer market. Chairman Eggert Magnusson has earmarked all of the new
£45million a year TV income for players and the plan is to recruit at least
four of the games top stars. If they survive West Ham United will swoop for
Charlton Athletic's £12million rated striker Darren bent. Magnusson is also
keen to lure fellow Icelander Eider Gudjohnson back from Barcelona in a
£8million deal. Reading's left back Nicky Shorey and Watford's Danny Shittu
are among other targets.
And the club are eager to agree a permanent deal with cult hero Carlos Tevez
but the argentine is aware of interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and
Manchester United.

Do it for Bobby.

West Ham United legends sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters have urged the
latest Hammers to invoke the spirit Bobby Moore and beat the drop. Both
Hurst and peters was present at the new Wembley on Friday when a statue of
former Hammers and England skipper Moore was unveiled. An emotional occasion
prompted both of them to recall Moore's inspirational qualities. Hurst said
when you need a big result or motivation there was no more inspiring player
than Bobby. Maybe a picture of the statue should be pinned in the West Ham
dressing room before the Manchester United game. Peters added it would be
great if the current team can pull out a performance that would have pleased
Bobby and they stay up.

Pardew is to blame for this mess.

Javier Mascherano has blamed former West Ham United boss Alan Pardew for the
mess West Ham are now in. The Argentine midfielder 23, was frozen out during
his five months at Upton park before joining Liverpool. He said this season
I have seen the two faces of football in England. It was a nightmare at West
Ham United but I am very happy at Liverpool. Many people believe that me and
Carlos Tevez are responsible for the relegation problems at West Ham. But
now Carlos is the king at Upton Park and I am playing in the champions
league final. The man responsible for the problem was Alan Pardew I do not
know if he has a problem with the Argentines but his manner with Tevez and
myself was not the same as with the rest of the team. I do not think he
could accept our arrival and decided not to give us any opportunities but I
still hope that West Ham United stay up.

Tevez in £25million Madrid deal.

seal his £25million transfer to Real Madrid. Real and Chelsea have tabled

sign Tevez last Thursday but the player prefers to move to a Spanish
speaking country. Tevez has become a cult hero during his roller coaster
nine months at West Ham United. He has been the inspiration behind the fight
for top flight survival. But West Ham was fined a record £5.5million by the
premier league for irregularities surrounding the Tevez signing.
