West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison will face a Football Association
disciplinary charge over comments he made on Twitter. Morrison, who has made
more headlines off the field in his short career in football, moved to Upton
Park from Manchester United before the close of the January transfer window.
And he now faces a rap under FA Rule E3 for use of abusive and/or insulting
words including a reference to a person's sexual orientation. The
19-year-old has until 4pm on 17 February to respond to the FA charge. He has
yet to make his debut for the Hammers and manager Sam Allardyce is weighing
up when the right time will be to give Morrison his opportunity.
