candidates. The squad are set to report back for pre-season training on
Monday 5 July, meaning the new manager will have plenty of time to put
together his squad for the 2010/11 campaign.

With the aim to build on the proven international talent in the ranks and

to be made over the coming weeks. whufc.com will be the place to be to hear

The Academy

Meanwhile, the club can confirm Luis Boa Morte has been offered a new
contract following the release of the retained list of players for the new
season.

The Portugal midfielder's existing deal expires on 30 June but he has been
given a new offer after his successful comeback from a long-term knee
injury. Boa Morte's return from nine months out saw him start and score in
the 1-1 draw with Manchester City on the last day of the campaign. He has
played 80 times for the Hammers since joining the club from Fulham in
January 2007.

Meanwhile, Guillermo Franco, Ilan and Mido are all leaving the club after
the end of their respective deals. Franco scored five goals in 23 matches
after joining as an out-of-contract player last September. Ilan scored four
times in eleven games after signing in January at the same time as Mido, who
did not register in nine appearances, moved to the Boleyn Ground on a
six-month loan from Middlesbrough.

Young quartet Anthony Edgar, Jordan Spence, Matthew Fry and Oliver Lee have
also been offered new contracts. Winger Edgar and versatile defender Spence
both made their first-team bows in the past campaign. Centre-back Fry
finished the season on loan at Charlton Athletic and midfielder Lee had a
strong run in the reserves after recovering from a bout of glandular fever.

Other players who will not be back next season are central defender Bondz
N'Gala, who has joined Plymouth Argyle permanently, and midfielder Josh
Payne, who had loans at Cheltenham Town, Wycombe Wanderers and Colchester
United. Tony Brookes, Daniel Kearns and Jack Lampe will also move on to
pastures new while Davide Ferrari's loan from Brescia Calcio has expired.

At scholarship level, first professional contracts have been offered to
left-back Jordan Brown, centre-back Callum McNaughton and forward Cristian
Montano - with the latter named most improved player in the Academy. All
three were regulars in the reserves towards the end of the season. Finally,
the young trio of Peter Loveday, Nicky Barrett and Conor Okus have all been
released.

The club would like to wish all the departing players well in their future
careers. The 2010/11 Barclays Premier League fixtures will be published on
Thursday 17 June with the new season set to start on the weekend of 14/15
August. Keep an eye on whufc.com for news of the club's pre-season
