The jury hearing the case involving West Ham's Anton Ferdinand have retired
to consider their verdict. Ferdinand has spent the last week in court having
been accused of attacking fellow clubber Emile Walker last year. The
22-year-old has admitted puching Walker outside Faces nightclub in Ilford,
although claims that he did so in self-defence. Ferdinand has pleaded not
guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm; he was charged along with
friend Edward Dawkins, 28. The case is being heard in Snaresbrook Crown
Court.
